At the Small Business Solutions Hub on October 23rd, attendees will hear from two professionals in the safety industry to learn how to keep the workplace safe.
First, Joshua Parrett, Division Manager at National Extinguisher Service, will present on the company's fire protection work and how their safety services help local businesses protect their people and operations.
Next, Leigh Manning, Senior Safety Management Consultant at SAIF, will discuss work safety requirements and resources to keep employees healthy on the job.

THE PRESENTERS
Joshua Parrett serves as Division Manager for National Extinguisher Service, overseeing operations, service, sales, business development, and production across all branch locations.
In this role, Joshua is actively involved in every aspect of the company’s fire protection division. He is responsible for achieving monthly sales and production goals while ensuring the company’s high standards for quality, safety, and customer service are consistently maintained. Additionally, he works closely with other divisions across the organization to uphold the company’s core values, participates in industry and marketing events, guides technicians to meet company and industry standards, and develops strategic initiatives that drive growth and strengthen market presence.
With a primary focus on the fire protection division, Joshua is committed to fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and technical excellence. He continually seeks opportunities to advance the division’s growth while supporting innovation and development within the fire protection industry.
Leigh Manning, MPH, CSP, ARM, has been working in occupational safety and health for more than 20 years, providing training and presentations for a variety of audiences in workplaces and at numerous regional conferences such as the biennial Oregon Governor's Occupational Safety & Health conference. She has an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Oregon and a Master of Public Health from Oregon State University. She is active in the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and recently received the safety professional of the year award for the Training & Communications practice specialty for 2026. She also serves her community on the steering committee for Leadership Eugene Springfield and as a board member for the Springfield City Club.
